RULES PHOTO CONTEST 2017
The competition is open to all photographers, divers and non-divers and on any subject. The sections which make up the Competition are as follows:
• Wide Wide Angle:
The image, in color or B / W, will represent the underwater environment and the species that inhabit it through the use of optical or extra wide angle. Allowed long shots and backlight: the human presence can be included in the image as a complementary element. The photographer is free to interpret the theme according to your taste by using any type of compositional technique. They are admitted even put photos presenting an outer part that is related to the underwater part of 1/2.
• Macro:
The image, in color or B / W, will shoot subjects aquatic whole or particular subjects or underwater life, highlighting the best aesthetic taste through composition choices and colors. And 'the accepted knows any kind of technique as long as the main subject of the image to represent the theme.
• Compact:
The underwater image, in color or B / W, wide angle or macro environments and organisms made exclusively with the use of compact-type cameras (they are excluded from this category images taken through type mirrorless cameras)
• Portfolio Mediterranean:
A series of three underwater photographs in color, which enhance environments and fauna characteristic Sea Mediterranean. The portfolio shall be composed of: a Macro, a WA and a personal choice. Macro or WA images or similar to those already presented in previous sections are not allowed.
• Category: Mollusks
The image (color or BN, wide-angle and macro) that will represent the species in the field.
• Category outside: "the Sea: Faith, Rituals and Legends":
colors or B/W images that represent the spiritual engagement between Man and Sea, expressed through gestures, demonstration, faces. Gestural codes that place Man and Sea in a transcendent dimension, rich of numerous ways of expression in the various cultures of the world.
• Category out of competition in cooperation with DAN EUROPE:
"Photograph security" "Photograph security" is the category that best represents the mission of DAN: the goal is ex- press through the camera the idea of security, and out of the water.
Simple gestures that we make before we dive, when we are in the water or after our emergence, but with an important meaning.
The image, in color or B / W, will represent security at sea. This section is open to all single classification. NOTE: The Beginners section aims to encourage participation in the competition, of those who appear They want to play in this activity. The Beginners can still participate in other categories of the competition.
All images already prized in other national and international exhibitions within Dec 31st 2016 will be excluded.

The jury is convened and will meet at Ortona for the evaluation of the images on November 4th and 5th 2017.
PRESENTATION FILES A COMPETITION
Art. 1)
Authors may submit a maximum of two files by section except for the portfolio where the Mediterranean will be accepted only one set of three photos.
The same picture can not be presented in several sections.
To enter the contest you will need to connect - from dal 01/09/2017 al 02/11/2017 on official competition www.ortonamare.org and access the section dedicated to enrollment picture. It is hereby specified that no extension will be granted for the sending date of the images
In order to send their works you will need to register on the portalwww.ortonamare.org and give its consent to the processing of data.
Once registered, you will have to login.
Logged into the portal, you can select the button "inscription photo" and start to the load of their works following the instructions.
Please note that any work:
- Must be in JPG format (only format accepted).
- Do not exceed 5Mb weight.
- Must have the following dimensions 30x40 or 30x45 at 200 dpi.
- It must have a title (it must contain only alphanumeric characters without the use of apostrophes, commas, brackets etc,..)
- Images should not have been rewarded in other national and international exhibitions within the within Dec 31st 2016
- Images similar or part of the same sequence already prized in other national and international exhibitions within the within Dec 31st 2016 are not allowed. Organizations and Jurors, in case of doubts, reserve the right to request the RAW file.
- All images shall include EXIF data according to their specific categories. EXIF data are not accessible to the Jurors throughout the session, however, if needed, to the organization only.
The jury, in the event of dispute and contingencies where it sees fit, reserves the right to ask the author the original raw files or jpg file that contains all the Exif data for further feedback.
Art. 2)
For digital images are permitted:
• crop a maximum of 20% of the original image;
• using the Clone Stamp to clean them from any tiny defects;
• brightness and contrast;
• are not allowed montages, overexposure of images (the technique is permitted
the double exposure);
• files obtained from prints and slides will be scanned in high resolution;
• The jury, at its sole discretion, may ask to see the original shots in RAW
JPEG or not manipulated with photo editing programs. Images must be no cornices or
Matted and any logo or signature that can identify the photographer.
Not allowed underwater images taken through submerged portholes, aquariums, pools SA will not permissible images that reveal damage to the seabed, animals frightened, stressed or in unnatural situations, except images that want to document or denounce human manifestations negative.
Art. 3)
To cover expenses, it requires a registration fee of € 15.00 for those who subscribe to one category - of € 25.00 for those who subscribe to multiple categories.
Payment can be made by payment "Paypal" once you upload the works of the various contexts in which it has participated.

Art. 4)
The images are viewed on a monitor quality aligned with the current international standards on color management. The organization will place the individual files in folders divided by section so that the case- ria, can view them independently of each other and without knowing the names of the photographers.
Art. 5)
They will be awarded the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each section of the competition.
NOTE: at the discretion of the Jury will be awarded prizes, regardless of category and subject, even in pictures Regulation qualifies as "REPORTED".
Art. 6)
The organization will carry the prints of all the winning photos, posted and of all those who, at the discretion of the jury, will highlight particular issues of interest in technical and emotional tional. Prints of the images, above, will be exhibited during the awards ceremony.
The winning photos, the reported and the most representative ones, will be published on the official website and Facebook page www.ortonamare.org
Art. 7)
The works will be eligible for the competition exclusively upon payment of the inclusion of Article 3.
AWARDS
The awards of the contest photos and video, will take place the day:
December 02, 2017 at 4.00 pm, at:
" Francesco Paolo Tosti Theater (Ex Vittoria) " – Corso Garibaldi 1 – Ortona
Given that it is particularly welcome the presence of the authors at the awards ceremony, will be responsible for the organization to communicate to all the winners of the program of the event in detail.
NOTE: Prizes not collected, for the absence of the winners or their delegate, will be dispatched by the Organization only with regard to the international award-winning resident abroad. For everyone else can be expected shipment, by telephone arrangement with the organization, even if only with the formula mark the sole responsibility of the recipient.

AWARDS
Jackpot: Travel diving, underwater photography equipment and accessories, diving equipment, etc.
NOTE 1: The mode of use of the prizes (Cruises - Stays - Full day - equipment - etc ..) and their peculiarities, are regulated directly by the Holders of the cooperation offered by ORTONA SUB for the administration of the Contest “SEA UW Photo Contest OrtonAmare 2016”. NOTE 2: The prizes are not cumulative.
Prizes not collected and stored at the organization without being claimed, one month after the date of the awards ceremony, will enter automatically into the prize pool of the expected contribution of the following year.
COPYRIGHT AND GRANT OF USE IMAGES AND VIDEO
The organization, in accordance with established laws on copyright, considers the works presented in competition free from any artistic property rights or rights of others.
Competitors, authorize the use of their work by the Organization for operations of promotion of the Competition, including through posters, brochures, calendars nonprofit and publications web.
The images, released by the payment of royalties or by any other type of remuneration, will always be used with the requirement to mention the author's name.
In any case, the organizers will still commercial use of these works and people, possibly interested in buying a work, will be put directly in touch with the author.
Contestants with the Competition, authorize the organization to the processing of data in order to get updates on the developments of this initiative, of course that the data will in no case be transmitted to third parties, in compliance with the provisions Law 196/2003 on the protection of personal data;
NOTE: The registration and participation in the competition implies the unconditional acceptance of this Regulation. The files and printouts of their respective categories, will not be returned and will become part of the archive at the exhibition.

Under Article 13 of the above mentioned law, we inform you that ORTONA SUB personal data of sympathizers, collaborators, suppliers and persons who have voluntarily provided (personally a telephone, by fax, by email or by registering on the website www .ortonasub.com) their personal information to our distributors in order to receive information about our services and / or initiatives.
According to the law indicated (ref. Art. 2 - Purpose), ORTONA SUB ensures that the processing of personal data will be respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, and dignity, with particular reference to confidentiality, identity staff and the right to protection of personal data.

STANDINGS
The data collected by the employees regarding initiatives and anything else related to the activities of ORTONA SUB, will be kept at the end of the transmission of information and promotional material relating to the activities of ORTONA SUB itself (by post, fax, SMS and e-mail ). The data are stored at the headquarters of our company, for the time prescribed by civil and tax. The data controller is: ORTONA SUB - Ortona (CH).
The provision of personal data by individuals who wish to open a relationship with our association, even if only for information about our activities / services, is considered optional, but failure to provide it could result in the interruption of the relationship, the its proper conduct and any legal obligations, including tax. In relation to the request received, took note of the above, in particular, it noted the rights recognized in Art. 7 of Decree Law 196/2003
